Skoda has priced the vRS reasonably, unlike the VW GTI. We feel that the Rs. 3.86 lakh premium over the top-end Octavia 1.8 TSI is worth it. Also, instead of just using the regular 1.8L TSI engine in a higher state of tune, Skoda has brought in the proper vRS with the 2.0L engine. That alone is worth at least 2 lakhs IMHO.
